TravelYukon – Larger Than Life

Capturing the Untamed Beauty of the Yukon. At Fulko Films, we had the incredible opportunity to film in the Yukon, one of Canada’s most breathtaking and remote regions. Commissioned by Yukon and Tourism Canada, our goal was to showcase the wild landscapes, rich culture, and vibrant experiences that make this destination truly unique. 

Exploring Kluane National Park

Our journey started through Kluane National Park introduced us to towering mountains and glacial rivers. This stunning region features some of the most awe-inspiring scenery in Canada. We also had the opportunity to visit the historic mining town of Dawson, where the past meets the present in a gold rush-era setting.

Immersing in Local Traditions

To dive deeper into local culture, we documented the experience of tasting authentic bannock, a traditional Indigenous delicacy. It was a perfect way to connect with the region’s rich cultural roots and traditions.

Capturing the Magic of the Aurora Borealis

One of the highlights of this project was capturing the Aurora Borealis. As the Yukon’s night sky lit up with vibrant colors, we were amazed by its beauty. Our drone and time-lapse footage brought these northern lights to life, offering a rare glimpse of this natural phenomenon.

Documenting Yukon’s Wildlife

Wildlife played a major role in our production. We filmed majestic Yukon wildlife in their natural habitats, including roaming caribou and powerful grizzlies. This footage truly highlighted the diversity of the region’s thriving ecosystem.

Promoting Yukon’s Fall Beauty

Another key objective was to showcase the Yukon’s breathtaking fall landscapes. This season often goes unnoticed compared to the busy summer months and the famous winter aurora tourism. As the tundra transformed into a vibrant blend of gold, red, and orange hues, we captured the region’s stunning autumn beauty. Through cinematic drone footage and storytelling, we aimed to reveal the Yukon’s unique fall appeal.

Attracting Year-Round Tourists

Tourism Canada hopes to attract more visitors during this underappreciated fall season. Capturing the Untamed Beauty of the Yukon, our video highlights the Yukon’s pristine wilderness, rugged mountains, and untouched natural beauty, offering a fresh perspective of this remote region.
